We had a visitor to our rehearsal from the Our Future, Our Community Team who are part of Blackburn with Darwen Council. Kelvin Sole, Project Leader, popped in to listen to our Beginners Band and Juniors practising for our upcoming performance in the Festival of Light Parade in Blackburn on the 14th December.The Band have been fortunate to secure a grant from the Council to support our beginners project with local schools and through this we have been partnered with the Festival of Light. This has given us the opportunity to take part in the annual parade, where all our beginners and juniors will perform in this community event. Next week we will be welcoming to our rehearsal an artist from the Festival of Light project to help us make some costumes to wear in the parade. Thank you to Kelvin for showing us your support.
