Super Result at the Senior Trophy

Blackburn & Darwen Band put on a fantastic performance of "The Accursed Huntsman" in Blackpool yesterday. Coming 6th out of a strong field of 21 bands is quite an achievement. Each player performed superbly, showcasing their musical talent and hard work. Credit is also due to our very enthusiastic Musical Director Daniel who guided the band to success.

4BR reported after their performance "A full technicolour take from Blackburn & Darwen to follow — rich in texture and middle band sounds, but also with a nimble appreciation of the ground to be covered and the pacing to keep the demons at bay.

Lots to enjoy with the contrasts in dynamics and the ever increasing fraughtness that just kept the devil a few lengths behind. The MD rode this like Lester Piggott on Mill Reef. Super stuff."
